World’s biggest conspiracy ! (Part 1)

Recently I read an editorial titled “Uncle Sam’s Scam”. It refreshed the memories of a Zeitgeist movie I saw long ago. It was about how the United States has tricked the world to satisfy its avarice and accumulated so much wealth that not even in the next 50 years can any country dream of. Ironically, many of us are not even aware of the scandal going around us. When our police are busy capturing thieves who stole a few lakhs from the banks, the people who stole Trillions of Dollars are sitting in the White House ( or in the Treasury next to it )! The reason US is also the most technologically advanced nation also lies in this very fact because it’s obvious that money attracts talent and talent leads to innovation. Here’s a brief description of the truth (as I see it) :

Let us start with the World Bank’s list of Top 10 countries by its GDP ( Gross Domestic Product : its the combined sum of all the goods and services produced within the borders of the country. Basically, it is a measure of the economy of a country ) :

(Note : The GDP specified is in Million $ )

1 United States 14,204,322
Euro symbol.svg Eurozone 13,565,479[3]
2 Japan 4,909,272
3 People’s Republic of China 4,326,187[2]
4 Germany 3,652,824
5 France 2,853,062[4]
6 United Kingdom 2,645,593
7 Italy 2,293,008
8 Brazil 1,612,539
9 Russia 1,607,816
10 Spain 1,604,174

It is clearly evident that US figures in the TOP of the list with 14 Trillion $ economy.  The closest is Eurozone or the “European Union”, which is actually a union of many European counties, so it cannot be considered as a “one entity” and has been excluded from the rankings. So, effectively, Japan is the 2nd country in the list with close to 5 Trillion $ economy. The difference, is 9 Trillion $.

About 200 years ago, India or rather the Indian-subcontinent had the largest economy in the World. Now it ranks 12th. So what did the US do to come to the Top of the list ? Looking into the annals of the period of its independence, we see its conditions were similar to what other countries suffered during independence. Nor there is any clarity in the argument that they’ve had adequate time to develop and grow given that they got independence in the 18th century, because that would contradict the fact that United Kingdom was never even captured for a millennium and around half of the world (including both India and US ) were under the U.K. territory at not-so-long-ago point in the history. So then what is the arcane recipe to affluence they’ve got ? The answer is, an amalgam of Debt as Money and the “Globalized” Dollar.

India disputed in Google Maps!

Recently I found something very shocking in Google Maps. As you all must be aware of, Google Maps Application is not the same for all the countries. There’s a different version of it for USA, for India, for China and for other countries in which Google has a center. By default you’re shown the Google Maps for the country you reside in. But what no one knew till now is that Google is showing different maps specifically of India in different versions of Google Maps!

In case of India, it shows Arunachal Pradesh and full Jammu & Kashmir as states of India, well within the Indian border line. That’s allright. Here’s the link : http://maps.google.co.in. Zoom in and you’ll see something like this :

But in case of USA, it shows the entire J&K and Arunachal Pradesh as Disputed Regions i.e. not belonging to either India or China. Here’s the link : http://maps.google.com. Open the link and search for India and zoom in. What you’ll see is :

Moreover, in case of China, it shows a major part of J&K and the entire Arunachal Pradesh as a part of China, within the border line of China. Now that is something very daring! Goto http://ditu.google.com and Don’t Panic!

I can only say, what the hell is this ? I think it is not safe for Google to play with such politically sensitive issues. I don’t know whether our country politicians are aware of it. I agree there is a political dispute over these regions but there should be a global consensus built upon it to agree to a common conclusion atleast for the time being. Recently, it was in News that China is issuing VISAs differently to citizens of J&K and not like the ones being issued to Indians from other states. Such moves by China are only aggravating the tensions between the two nuclear powers. Although, even India doesn’t hold a clean chit for it allowed Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh just before the elections despite strong protest from across the border. If these trends continue, I fear the relationship between India-China will soon become like that of India-Pakistan. China won’t lose much, but India cannot survive with enemity with both of its major neighbours.

But I doubt personally that Google did this intentionally. May be even Google is used as a pawn in this complex maze of international political chess, played by USA, China and India. If the Chinese government forces, Google will have no option but to adapt to the maps provided by Chinese government or else face a ban (which google can’t afford in China) and same is the case with Indian Government and US Government. After all, Google is just a profit-minded software company! It certainely has no interest in world politics and It only does whats best in its own interest. If someone is responsible, its the governments.

The T20 WorldCup Winners

So finally Pakistan has got something to be proud of. They must be celebrating after years of violence, blasts and civil unrest. The T20 WorldCup is like a chill-pill for them. But how long will it last? I’m not so sure about it. A poor country , which was on the verge of bankruptcy till a few months ago, surviving on the aid donated to it by IMF & US, and other allies, with growth rate as low as 2% and an on-going heavy-military war with the Taliban, with added-disadvantages of inflation, domestic terrorism, political breakdown, military influence and their desire of the army to level itself with the Indian military by pursuing an armsrace with it. Does such a country has any near hope of good future? I don’t think so. Figures say that the on-going war with Taliban has already costed nearly $35 Billion. Despite the tremendous amount of aid from USA ($1.5 Billion per year), the country is still losing more money than it is actually gaining. War has also created the problem of settling more than 2 million IDPs (Internally Displaced People), who are right now surviving in temporary camps. Instead of saving money and utilising it for the welfare of its people and revamping its degrading health and education system, it has been increasing its defence spending in order to pursue its arms-race with India. With this kind of attitude, that country can never pull itself out of this pervailing messy situation.

Even after the military’s claims of killing thousands of militants, its actually the country which is losing, not the Taliban. Taliban has openly said that their main goal is to keep that country engaged in war, until the country loses all its money and the economy totally disintegrates. The USA knows of this fact and I believe that is the reason why it is keen to donate billions of dollars to Pakistan. However, Pakistan is still not making the efficient usage of this money. According to a recent report in Times of India, the Pakistan military has diverted US funds to buy a vast range of conventional and non-conventional weapons including Ballistic Missiles, Marine Patrol Aircrafts, AWACS, Gravity Bombs, F-16s and other equipments, most of which have absolutely no use against the Taliban, for its war with Taliban is mostly ground and artillery-based. But it doesn’t require a 5th grader’s brain to guess the actual intention of buying these weapons.
